WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We're looking for a Sales Executive to sell exhibition stands and sponsorship for Tech Show Frankfurt every day. You'll follow the sales strategy set by the Event Director and Show/Sales Manager, and work closely with them to hit and exceed show targets.
You'll ensure our sales performance standards are met, exceed your own targets, and support colleagues in running the event smoothly whenever needed.
THE ROLE:
Sales
• Manage your day-to-day sales, pipeline, and the admin that goes with it.
• Deliver your individual sales targets across the event.
• Proactively deliver the show strategy across new and existing business.
• Deliver the campaign strategy set by the Event Director and Show/Sales Manager, taking the show over target, including overall exhibitor numbers, exhibitor mix, stand sales, sponsorship inventory, yield and sponsorship revenue.
• Identify key new business clients and sales targets within your prospect universe.
• Listen to customer requirements and present in a way that makes the sale.
• Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers to make sales.
• Arrange meetings with new and potential customers where appropriate.
• Respond to incoming email and phone inquiries.
• Act as the contact between CloserStill Media and its existing and potential markets.
• Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales.
• Challenge objections to help the customer reach a buying decision.
• Create detailed written proposals and send them to clients promptly.
• Gather market and customer information.
• Visit and canvass at competitor and industry events, building a systematic understanding of competitors and monitoring them.
• Record your sales in line with the company's sales process.
• Review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
• Uphold the KPI of 90 minutes a day on the phone, which includes Teams and Zoom calls.
• Prepare for power hours with well-researched, targeted prospects, setting agreed times with your manager.
• Attend team meetings, and share best practice on identifying new business with colleagues and line management, learning from them in return.
• Attend sales and personal development training, and use what you learn in your sales pitch and other responsibilities.
• Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested.
Brands
• Execute the Event Director's and team's strategy and objectives set out in the event's business plan.
• Meet customers, prospects and event partners face to face regularly, where appropriate.
• Get close to your market, understand its trends and build your sales pitch around them.
Financial
• Keep an accurate personal stand and sponsorship ledger in Salesforce.
• Reconcile your personal sales ledger regularly, making sure your exhibitor promises are reported where required.
• Provide a weekly report and forecast on your personal revenue.
General
• Monitor market and competitor activity.
• Read all relevant industry titles.
Relationships
• Build positive, professional relationships with existing and prospective clients, associations, sleepers and, where appropriate, contractors, media and commercial partners.
ABOUT YOU:
• Proven experience selling exhibition stands, sponsorship or media in a B2B events or similar environment.
• A track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Confident on the phone, with the drive to build a strong pipeline of new business as well as grow existing accounts.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills, and the ability to write clear, persuasive proposals.
• Well organised, with good attention to detail when managing your pipeline, ledger and weekly forecast.
• Comfortable using Salesforce, or a similar CRM, to record and report your sales.
• Happy to meet customers face to face and to get out to industry and competitor events.
• A positive team player who shares best practice and supports colleagues when the event needs it.
