Automotive Test System Engineer

Join Aptiv as an Automotive Test System Engineer and become part of a team developing advanced test solutions for next-generation vehicles.
You will design, integrate and validate test systems supporting data acquisition, diagnostics and vehicle function testing.
Working closely with hardware, software and test teams, you will solve complex technical challenges and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of innovative automotive test solutions.
Your Role:
- Design, develop and validate automotive test systems and equipment.
- Configure, integrate and commission hardware and software components of vehicle test systems.
- Develop solutions supporting data acquisition, diagnostics and vehicle function validation.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues using diagnostic data, test results and measurement tools.
- Integrate and debug hardware and software solutions and implement corrective actions.
- Support prototype development, vehicle testing and validation of new solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering and test teams to improve products, tools and development processes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with applicable quality and security requirements.
Your Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Good knowledge of electronics, measurement techniques and electronic system architecture.
- Experience with hardware/software integration, debugging, validation and testing of electronic systems.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, CAN FD, LIN and Ethernet, as well as experience with Linux-based systems.
- Experience using diagnostic and measurement equipment, combined with strong analytical and root cause analysis skills.
- Good command of English, strong technical communication and teamwork skills; a valid Category B driving license is required.
