About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to perform maintenance, repairs, breakdown response, and servicing of heavy mobile and fixed plant equipment in both workshop and underground mining environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance, servicing, and breakdown repairs on heavy mobile and fixed plant equipment.
- Diagnose faults and repair or replace components to ensure equipment reliability and availability.
- Maintain plant and equipment in compliance with site standards, safety requirements, and regulations.
- Complete maintenance documentation, work orders, inspections, and oil sampling accurately and on time.
- Promote a safe workplace by conducting pre-start checks, participating in safety meetings and investigations, and reporting incidents and hazards promptly.
About You:
- Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter/Mechanic trade qualification.
- Experience maintaining and repairing underground mining equipment, particularly heavy mobile plant and shotcrete equipment.
- Auto electrical knowledge and troubleshooting capability.
- Current manual driver's licence and CPR certificate (HLTCPR201A - Perform CPR).
- Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
