JOB SUMMARY

Zermatt Resort & Spa is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and motivated Financial Analyst to support the resort's financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis. Reporting to resort leadership, this position is responsible for analyzing financial data, monitoring departmental performance, preparing financial reports, and identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate possesses strong accounting and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to translate financial information into meaningful insights that support business decisions.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

-

Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including revenue, expenses, and departmental performance.

-

Assist with annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow projections.

Monitor financial trends, identify variances, and provide recommendations for operational improvements.

Analyze labor costs, operating expenses, and departmental profitability.

-

Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and financial reporting.

Maintain accurate financial records and support established accounting procedures and internal controls.

-

Prepare financial dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and reports for resort leadership.

-

Collaborate with department managers to review financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.

-

Assist with audits, financial documentation, and compliance reporting.

-

Support special financial projects and perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

-

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

-

2–3 years of accounting, financial analysis, or related experience preferred; hospitality experience is a plus.

Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with accounting and financial software.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

-

Ability to interpret financial information and communicate findings effectively.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with resort leadership and department managers.

Strong time-management skills and commitment to accuracy.

Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Reliable attendance and flexibility to work additional hours during month-end, year-end, or audit periods.
