Part-time Merchandising & Sales Assistant

Summary:
We are looking for a Seasonal Sales Assistant to help in Houston Ballet retail store. These positions pay $15 per hour. In this role, you will greet customers and provide them with product information or suggestions. Your other tasks involve keeping the sales floor clean, organized, and stocked with inventory. Since this is our busy season, we serve a high number of customers throughout the day. Employees must follow company policy and uphold brand standards at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist with inventory management, buying merchandise, and display for Houston Ballet Retail Pop-up Shop at the Wortham Theater and MAW Center for Dance.
- Set up items, assist with purchase orders and follow up, communicate with vendors
- Assists in the implementation and maintenance of all merchandising/visual directives
- Perform sales during performance season (includes some evenings and weekends)
- Assist with Nutcracker Market set up and onsite sales
Qualifications:
- Must be tech savvy and can skillfully navigate modern technology
- Must be available to devote approximately 20 hours a week consistently
- Energetic, confident personality mixed with a strong work ethic.
- Dynamic interpersonal and communications skills both verbal and written
- Exceptional time management skills, high level of ownership, and self-awareness.
- Must be able to lift, carry, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 40 pounds when merchandising sales floor using ladders or stairs.
