About the Role
We are looking for a Service Delivery Officer to join our Planning and Building Control Support Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of statutory planning and building control services within a busy local authority environment.
As part of the team, you will provide high quality administrative and operational support to planning officers, building control officers, customers, developers, agents, councillors and other stakeholders. You will manage a wide range of enquiries, maintain accurate records within specialist systems, support the progression of planning and building control applications, and help ensure that services are delivered efficiently and in line with statutory requirements.
The role also provides opportunities to contribute to service improvement projects, support performance monitoring, develop expertise in planning and building control processes, and assist with mentoring and supporting colleagues. Working at the heart of service delivery, you will help ensure residents, businesses and developers receive an effective and customer focused service.
About You

• Experience of maintaining accurate records and working with case management, document management or other business systems.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and confidence using a range of digital systems.
• The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including members of the public, colleagues, elected members, developers and external partners.
