JANITORIAL CLEANER

The Day Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of the property's common areas and exterior amenities. This position supports daily community operations by ensuring grounds, dumpster areas, walkways, signage, and shared spaces remain clean, safe, and inviting for residents, guests, and prospective residents.Benefit Information: ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package. Daily Duties- Blow debris from stairwells, HVAC areas, and dumpster enclosures.
- Pick up litter, miscellaneous trash, and lost items throughout the community.
- Sweep breezeway steps, including Buildings 114-P and 114-S.
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles.
- Clean window sills, walls, fences, and remove cobwebs from common areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of all dumpster enclosures and surrounding areas.
- Wipe down courtyard tables and picnic tables.
- Maintain cleanliness around the maintenance shop and other exterior common areas.
Weekly Duties- Wipe down and clean the community golf cart.
- Inspect, clean, and treat the courtyard fountain.
- Clean window grates at Building 114-J.
Bi-Weekly Duties- Clean monument signs located at the main entrance and visitor parking areas.
- Clean exterior light fixtures as assigned.
Monthly Duties- Pressure wash dumpster enclosures and other designated areas.
- Clean mailboxes.
- Clean community monument signs.
- Clean exterior light fixtures as scheduled.
As-Needed Duties- Stock and replenish brochures and marketing materials.
- Change community banners and promotional signage.
- Wipe down community signage throughout the property.
- Pressure wash sidewalks, walkways, and other exterior surfaces.
- Assist with special cleaning projects and community events as assigned.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous porter, janitorial, housekeeping, or property maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to maintain a professional and courteous attitude with residents, guests, and team members.
Physical Requirements- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment, blowers, and pressure washers.
