About Us

This is an incredible opportunity to join a company that has been at the forefront of AI and high-performance data storage innovation for over two decades. DataDirect Networks (DDN) is a global leader in AI and multi-cloud data management at scale, helping customers run some of the world’s most demanding AI and data-intensive environments.

About the Role

The ERP Engineer will be a hands-on member of DDN’s Finance Systems team, supporting the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of Workday Financials and connected finance applications.

You will partner closely with Accounting, Finance, Procurement, and technical teams to translate business requirements into practical, scalable, and supportable system solutions. You will contribute across the full solution lifecycle—from discovery and design through configuration, testing, deployment, documentation, and post-production support.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding how financial processes work, solving system and data problems, and working directly with business stakeholders. Experience implementing and/or maintaining Workday Financials is preferred; experience with another comparable ERP may also be relevant.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as a key engineer for our Workday Financials deployment including configuration, testing, documentation, and ongoing enhancements in areas such as Fin Accounting and P2P.

- Partner with Finance stakeholders to translate business needs into practical system designs, process improvements, and supportable solutions.

- Configure and maintain Finance business processes, security, calculated fields, reports, dashboards, and data validations as needed.

- Work closely with the integration and automation team to improve connectivity between Workday and other internal/external applications (like Workato, SFDC, Oracle, etc) for operations, analytics, workflow automation, and embedded AI.

- Help establish strong operational discipline through clear documentation, ticket handling, sprint participation, and visible delivery tracking.

Skills Required

- A curious, service-oriented approach and a genuine interest in understanding the business context behind requirements.

- 3–6 years of experience in ERP, Finance Systems, business systems, or a related finance systems engineering or analyst role.

- Practical understanding of accounting and finance processes, including general ledger, financial reporting, procure-to-pay, banking, order-to-cash, and fixed assets.

- Experience supporting system enhancements, implementations, or post-go-live optimization in a growth environment

- Data-driven mindset; able to use reporting and process insight to guide recommendations.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain system behaviour and trade-offs clearly

Nice to Have Skills

- Workday Financials certification or formal training in a relevant Workday domain.

- Experience with financial systems controls, audit support, data reconciliation, or month-end close processes.

- Experience supporting a global or multi-country Finance organization.

- Experience partnering on automation, integrations, or AI-enabled workflow improvements.

- Exposure to work management technologies such as Jira and modern Gen AI models such as Claude and Gemini.
