What You Will Do:

- Own key elements of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and help produce accurate, timely financial statements and management reporting.

- Analyze results, investigate variances, identify trends and underlying drivers, and translate findings into clear business insights.

- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow analysis, and other financial planning activities.

- Partner with payroll providers and internal stakeholders to support accurate payroll processing, reconciliations, reporting, and issue resolution.

- Support the controller with special projects.

- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense management, tax, audit, and compliance activities as needed.

- Take on special projects that may sit outside traditional accounting, using sound judgment and analytical skills to solve practical business problems.

- Help strengthen controls, documentation, reporting, and processes while keeping solutions fit for the size and stage of the company.

- Collaborate across functions and geographies, communicating financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance colleagues.

- Work effectively with external auditors, tax advisors, payroll partners, banks, and other service providers.

What You Bring:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent designation is helpful but not required.

- Five to seven years of progressive accounting experience, including meaningful ownership of close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

- A hands-on, team-first mindset, with the ability to lead when needed and roll up your sleeves to get the work done. No task is too big or too small.

- Strong communicator who builds effective working relationships with colleagues and partners across different cultures, geographies, functions, and professional backgrounds.

- Experience working in treasury, travel and expense processing and management, and procurement.

- Experience in a small company, high-growth business, or start-up where priorities shift and team members contribute beyond their core remit.

- Experience in a larger, well-established organization that has provided exposure to strong controls, disciplined processes, and high-quality financial reporting.

- Strong financial analysis skills, including variance analysis, forecasting, data interpretation, and the ability to communicate conclusions clearly.

- Advanced Excel or spreadsheet skills and experience working Netsuite; comfort learning new tools quickly.

- Working knowledge of IFRS. Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency, or cross-border operations is a strong advantage.

- Global accounting, international payroll, or geographically dispersed business experience is helpful but not required.

How You Work:

- Hands-on and accountable: You take ownership, follow through, and are willing to do the detailed work—not just review it.

- Low ego and team-first: You value contribution over title, pitch in where needed, and treat colleagues and partners with respect.

- Adaptable: You are comfortable with ambiguity, changing priorities, and responsibilities that may extend beyond a traditional job description.

- Practical and improvement-minded: You bring high standards without overengineering and look for simple, scalable ways to make the work better.

- Curious and analytical: You do not stop at producing the numbers; you ask what they mean, what is driving them, and what action should follow.

- Reliable and discreet: You handle sensitive financial and payroll information with care, sound judgment, and integrity.
