Location: Mountain View, CA (On-site)
Compensation: $200K–$300K depending on experience, plus generous early-employee equity.

About Atum Works
Lithography gave us the ability to make objects that sense, store, process, and transmit information. It enabled the modern world, but it has reached its limit.
Instead of smaller features, the semiconductor industry now builds complexity into the third dimension, layer-by-layer, in exchange for growing process cost, complexity and time.
Atum Works is building the first 3D lithography foundry.
We have developed new manufacturing paradigms to directly pattern a range of materials in 3D, over large areas, at um resolution. We have meaningful traction for the semiconductor products this enables. If scaled successfully, we expect 3D lithography will transform manufacturing as profoundly as planar lithography transformed electronics.
We are a small team of technologists, backed by Spark, Thrive, GC, Ribbit, Lux, SVAngel, Allen & Co., Lachy Groom, Eric Schmidt, Jeff Dean, Ram Shriram, and others.
Position Summary
There are maybe a few thousand people alive who can build what we are building.
You will work alongside the founders to define the team Atum needs, then find and win those people. You will own Atum’s recruiting strategy and build the systems and team to execute it as we scale. This is a hands-on leadership role.
Competencies
- Experience identifying, assembling, and working alongside world-class talent.
- Experience mapping and networking in specialized technical communities.
- Background in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or demonstrated ability to pick up technical subjects.
- Discretion with sensitive information and the ability to communicate credibly with specialists.
- Track record of engaging and closing hard-to-reach individuals.
- Comfort doing business abroad.
- Excellent judgment about people.
Bonus: experience in physical science research, deep tech, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing.
