R&D Technical Project Manager

We are looking for an R&D Technical Project Manager to drive early-stage engineering projects and technology initiatives.

The role combines hands-on engineering, technical investigation, supplier engagement, and project ownership. You will work on new challenges in the space domain, evaluate technical alternatives, reduce uncertainty, and help mature ideas into clear engineering directions.

Requirements- B.Sc. or higher in Engineering or another relevant technical field.

- 7+ years of relevant engineering experience, preferably working on complex, multidisciplinary systems or R&D projects.

- Strong engineering judgment and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to independently drive technical work in an environment with incomplete or evolving requirements.

- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and technical domains.

- Ability to independently engage suppliers and external technical partners.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities- Lead early-stage R&D and engineering projects, from initial exploration through feasibility and recommendation.

- Investigate new technologies, solutions, and system concepts.

- Define and execute feasibility studies, technical evaluations, experiments, and PoCs.

- Identify key technical risks, unknowns, and trade-offs.

- Develop initial concepts, requirements, and technical scopes.

- Independently identify relevant suppliers, vendors, and external partners.

- Proactively approach suppliers, lead technical discussions, and evaluate proposed solutions.

- Work with engineering experts across hardware, software, mechanical, optics, RF, and other disciplines.

- Support projects with technical studies, preliminary design work, and SOW preparation.

- Present findings and provide clear recommendations for Go / No-Go / Next Phase decisions.

Advantages- Experience in R&D, advanced development, or early-stage product development.

- Experience with prototypes, demonstrators, or experimental setups.

- Background in aerospace, robotics, sensing, or communications.

- Experience working with suppliers, subcontractors, or research partners.

- Experience writing technical specifications, requirements, or SOWs.
