Strategic Account Executive

The Strategic Account Executive shares accountability with the Producer for the client relationship, driving strategic planning, renewals, and service delivery on assigned accounts. Assigned accounts are typically key accounts or carry multi-state, multi-line, or alternative risk-financing complexity, with account assignment approved by Producer. This individual partners closely with Producers, Account Managers, P&C service staff, and carrier partners, delivering proactive guidance on program performance, coverage design, risk management, and compliance across the accounts they own.

Work Performed

Client Strategy and Relationship Management

- Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for assigned clients

- Share accountability with the Producer for retention and account rounding, identifying and acting on cross-sell and new-line opportunities and recording them in agency systems

- Build and execute annual client strategic plans and service timelines

- Maintain a thorough understanding of each client’s business, operations, and risk exposures

- Lead client meetings, delivering strategic guidance on program performance, loss trends, and coverage design opportunities

- Flag risks, challenges, and opportunities, recommending solutions aligned with client goals and Oakbridge strategy

Renewals, Marketing and Program Oversight

- Review loss analysis, program structuring, and financial modeling - including retention, deductible, and captive considerations - to support long-term program sustainability and informed client decisions

- Oversee client onboarding and renewal execution, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and service standards are met across internal teams and carrier partners

- Drive the renewal and marketing process end-to-end, including carrier negotiations, coverage placement, and final program recommendations

- Produce risk management strategies, stewardship reports, and client-facing presentations

- Track loss trends and program financial performance, partnering with the Producer and Account Managers on recommendations

Execution Oversight and Project Management

- Coordinate all client deliverables, timelines, and service commitments

- Manage complex initiatives as project lead, ensuring coordination across internal and external partners

- Keep communication clear and timely among clients, Producers, carriers, and internal teams

- Own escalated policy issuance, billing, and complex claims issues, serving as liaison between client, carrier, and internal teams until each issue is verifiably resolved and confirmed with the client

Compliance, Carrier and Industry Leadership

- Confirm clients remain compliant with applicable insurance regulations and policy obligations

- Cultivate strong carrier and vendor relationships and deep product knowledge across property and casualty lines

- Stay current on industry trends, coverage forms, and regulatory changes

- Participate in internal initiatives that support team development and process improvement

- Oversee client compliance calendars and regulatory obligations, partnering with internal teams and carrier partners to mitigate risk and uphold certificate of insurance, state filing, and licensing requirements

Agency Systems and Data Accountability

- Maintain accountability for data accuracy and documentation within agency systems (CRM, Epic, carrier portals), ensuring compliance, reporting integrity, and operational excellence across assigned accounts

- Active Property & Casualty license, with the ability to obtain non-resident licenses as required

- 5+ years of commercial P&C account management or brokerage experience, including complex multi-state or multi-line accounts

- Working knowledge of loss-sensitive and alternative risk-financing structures (large deductible, retention, captive)

- Proficiency in agency management systems (Applied Epic preferred), carrier portals, and CRM

- Demonstrated ability to lead client meetings and present renewal recommendations to executive-level decision makers

Preferred Education & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field preferred

- Professional designations (CPCU, CIC, ARM, or equivalent) are highly desirable
