About the role
As our People Operations Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of our workplace culture and the engine behind our HR operations. Working directly out of our New Jersey office, you will own the full employee life cycle—from attracting top tech talent and welcoming new hires to optimizing benefits, ensuring seamless compliance, and keeping our team engaged. If you are a proactive communicator, a natural problem solver, and someone who thrives on building smooth, human-centered HR processes in a fast-paced environment, this role was built for you.
What you'll do
- Craft compelling job postings, interview top candidates, manage offers, and run high-touch onboarding experiences that get new hires excited and ready to excel.
- Oversee daily HR administration, time & attendance, PTO, and reporting in ADP with sharp accuracy.
- Support employee recognition programs, organize culture events, and gather meaningful feedback to keep our collaborative vibe strong.
- Administer our comprehensive benefits packages, 401(k), FMLA, and leave programs, acting as the trusted subject matter expert for all team questions.
- Keep our policies current, ensure full state and federal compliance, and partner closely with leadership on employee relations, guidance, and performance management.
What we're looking for
- Hands-on HR Experience: Proven experience managing core HR operations, payroll/timekeeping platforms (ADP preferred), and full-cycle recruiting.
- Regulatory & Compliance Know-How: Solid understanding of employment laws, FMLA/ADA administration, and HR best practices.
- Self-Motivated Execution: Ability to work autonomously in an in-person, full-time exempt capacity, managing your time flexibly to meet business and team needs.
- Clear & Empathetic Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization.
What you'll bring
- Comfort navigating HR tech stacks, reporting tools, and modern recruitment platforms.
- Sharp attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple priorities without missing a beat.
- A constructive, solution-oriented approach to employee relations, policy creation, and operational roadblocks.
- High emotional intelligence, discretion, and a genuine passion for helping team members grow and succeed.
What's cool about the role
- You won't just be following a playbook—you'll be designing and polishing our people practices as we grow.
- Competitive starting salary (commensurate with experience), along with health, dental, vision, paid holidays, generous PTO, and a 401(k).
- Collaborative, fast-growing NJ team environment where wins are celebrated and leadership is accessible.
- Unmatched exposure to all facets of organizational leadership and talent strategy in a thriving, tech-driven industry.
