Community Manager UK
Oatly AB · London, United Kingdom · hybrid
Hello potential future Oatly employee. It’s us, the original oat drink company that started in Sweden back 30 or so years ago.
We exist to make it easy for people to eat better and live healthier lives without recklessly taxing the planet’s resources in the process. Sustainability, health, and transparency are the core values that guide everything we do. We're also recognised as the world’s first Climate Solutions food and beverage company, and we do it all while making some of the most delicious drinks out there.
If any of this is resonating with you, then maybe you’d like to come work with us? If so, you're in the right place.
The RoleWe’re looking for a Community Manager to be one of the voices of Oatly across our social channels and emails, bringing our tone of voice to life while treating our consumers like the heroes they are. You’ll help grow and protect Oatly’s community by supporting consumers, building meaningful relationships and bringing what we learn from our communities back into the business.
Here are the main elements of the role:- Build meaningful relationships with our community through thoughtful, accurate, timely, and on-brand interactions across social media, email and other digital platforms, while managing consumer questions and complaints with care.
- Proactively grow and deepen Oatly’s community. Do this by engaging with relevant people, communities, internet culture, trends and brand moments, while staying curious about what our communities are saying and spotting emerging themes, opportunities and risks.
- Bring strong UK market knowledge into our global Community team. Build relationships with local Brand and Comms partners, collaborate on campaigns, activations and Community projects, and turn global Community strategy into locally relevant action.
Who You AreIf the below sounds like you, you could be a good match for this job:
- You have at least one year’s experience in community management, social media, consumer engagement, customer service or another relevant communications or community-facing role.
- You’re a strong and engaging writer, able to adapt your tone for different people, platforms and situations.
- You’re comfortable giving and receiving feedback to make writing sharper and clearer, while finding your own accent within Oatly’s tone of voice.
- You’re organised and comfortable managing competing priorities while keeping sight of the bigger picture.
- You’re proactive and solutions-focused, using good judgement, taking initiative and bringing thoughtful recommendations when challenges arise.
- You’re collaborative and enjoy working closely with teammates and partners across different functions and markets.
- You have experience spotting trends and proactively engaging in internet culture, community conversations or relevant brand moments.
- You are able and willing to come to our brand new offices in Farringdon 2 to 3 days a week.
- Experience using social media management tools would be a bonus.
- And if you’re bilingual, that'd be a big plus!
The PerksAnother bulleted list felt redundant, so we made this page talking about all the benefits we offer to sweeten the deal working with us before you apply.
[Phew! Well done if you’ve got this far. We’re glad we’ve still got your attention because we’ve got one last super important point to make. As you can probably tell, we’re a norm-breaking company. For us, diversity and differences are an obvious asset. We know that amazing candidates can sometimes be put off applying for a job unless they can tick every box, and that makes us really sad. So please trust your gut and pop in your application if it’s feeling right. Good luck!]
