We are seeking an experienced Program Manager with a strong background in telecommunications and IT infrastructure program delivery.

This is a contract opportunity with an ASAP start through to October 2027, with potential for extension. The role is based in Sydney CBD.

The Job….

Reporting into the Director, Program Delivery, you will be mainly responsible for the following duties:

- Own the Program strategy, roadmap and delivery plan.

- Lead end-to-end delivery across scope, budget, schedule, risk and benefits.

- Prioritise asset replacement based on criticality, condition, cyber security, obsolescence and operational risk.

- Lead multiple workstreams across technology, network, sites, operations and customer transition.

- Drive strong governance, risk management, reporting and commercial controls.

- Manage relationships with government agencies, Emergency Service Organisations, vendors and delivery partners.

- Ensure cutovers, migrations and decommissioning are safely planned and operationally ready.

- Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior executives and government stakeholders.

- Build a high-performing, accountable delivery culture focused on measurable outcomes.

You….

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas:

- 10+ years’ senior Program Management experience delivering complex, large-scale programs.

- Proven delivery of $100M+ infrastructure programs, ideally across telecommunications or technology.

- Experience leading multi-workstream programs across strategy, planning and delivery.

- Strong expertise in program governance, commercial management, risk and assurance.

- Experience delivering asset replacement, network modernisation or infrastructure renewal in live environments.

- Strong understanding of telecommunications networks, resilience, availability and cyber security.

- Experience working with government, Emergency Service Organisations and major vendors.

- Proven ability to stabilise, recover and deliver complex programs.

- Baseline Security Clearance will be required – Australian citizenship is mandatory, with clearance costs covered by the agency.
