Emirates Electrical & Instrumentation Company LLC is a proud member of the Juman Energy Group.

For almost 20 years, we have made vital contributions to the Oil & Gas sector of the UAE, executing both onshore and offshore projects. Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is one of our main clients along with Tier 1 and Tier 2 EPC contractors in this sector. We have the expertise to carry out full EPC&M services for electrical and instrumentation works and bring our intrinsic knowledge to measure and automate exploration, production, separation, refining processes, and distribution through our localized services

- Review and understand approved drawings, specifications, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), welding procedure specifications (WPS/PQR), and painting/coating procedures before starting inspection activities.

- Verify welder and welding operator qualifications (WPQ), continuity records, and validity of certifications before allowing welding.

- Check material identification and traceability, including pipes, fittings, flanges, plates, structural sections, and consumables, against MTCs and project specifications.

- Inspect joint fit-up, alignment, cleanliness, bevel preparation, gap, and root opening prior to welding.

- Monitor welding in progress, including preheat, interpass temperature, welding parameters, consumable control (baking, storage, issue), shielding gas, and compliance with the approved WPS.

- Carry out visual inspection of completed welds and verify compliance with acceptance criteria (e.g., ASME B31.3, ASME IX, AWS D1.1, API 1104, as applicable).

- Maintain weld maps, weld logs, welder performance records, and joint traceability.

- Coordinate NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT, PMI, hardness testing, ferrite testing) with NDT contractors, review reports and radiographs, and follow up on repairs and re-tests.

- Witness post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) and review heat treatment charts and records.

- Witness and verify hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests in coordination with the piping and commissioning teams.

- Verify weld repair procedures, repair rates, and welder performance, and recommend corrective actions or welder re-qualification where needed.

- Inspect surface preparation prior to coating, including cleanliness grade, surface profile, soluble salts, dust, and ambient conditions (dew point, relative humidity, surface and air temperature).

- Verify paint materials, batch numbers, shelf life, mixing, thinning, pot life, and storage conditions against the manufacturer's data sheets and approved coating system.

- Measure and record wet film thickness (WFT) and dry film thickness (DFT) on each coat, and check for defects such as runs, sags, pinholes, holidays, and poor adhesion.

- Perform holiday detection (spark testing) and adhesion testing on coatings, linings, and buried or underground lines as required.

- Inspect passive fire protection, insulation, and field joint coating works where applicable.

- Carry out multidiscipline QC inspections, as assigned, on fabrication, erection, installation, and pre-commissioning activities in line with the project ITPs.

- Issue, review, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), punch-list items, and corrective action requests, and follow up until closure.

- Participate in third-party and client inspections, hold-point and witness-point notifications, and audits, and raise Requests for Inspection (RFIs) accurately.

- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checksheets, calibration records, daily/weekly QC reports, and the final quality dossier (as-built and turnover documentation).

- Ensure inspection tools and equipment (gauges, DFT meters, hi-lo gauges, pit gauges, welding multi-gauges, thermometers, hygrometers) are calibrated and in good condition.

- Follow the Permit-to-Work system, HSE rules, and site procedures at all times; participate in toolbox talks and stop work when unsafe conditions or quality risks are identified.

- Provide guidance and feedback to welders, painters, and supervisors on quality requirements and promote a right-first-time culture.

- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.

- 5–10 years of QC inspection experience, including at least 3–5 years on oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, or EPC projects.

- Valid welding inspection certification such as AWS CWI, CSWIP 3.1/3.2, or BGAS Grade 2/1 (or equivalent).

- Valid coating inspection certification such as NACE/AMPP Coating Inspector Level 1/2, FROSIO, or BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector (or equivalent).

- Willingness to work in remote locations as required.

- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.

- Ability perform manual work.

- Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

- Effective communication skills.
