Synergetic Systems Manager

Melbourne Grammar School is seeking a Synergetic Systems Manager to join our dedicated IT Department. This is a key role responsible for managing, maintaining and developing the School’s core Student Information System, Synergetic, while supporting the integrity, security and effective use of data across the School.

The Synergetic Systems Manager is responsible for the administration and ongoing development of the Synergetic platform and the design and delivery of Crystal Reports and other business intelligence solutions. The role serves as the central point of expertise for the School's student, family, staff, and community data, supporting operational, strategic, and compliance requirements across all campuses.

The full-time fixed term opportunity commencing by December 2026 / January 2027 until July 2027 and is located in our South Yarra campus.

You will:

- Administer, maintain and support Synergetic, SynWeb and their associated database structures.

- Maintain the accuracy, integrity and security of student, family, staff and community data.

- Manage user access, permissions and security settings across Synergetic, SynWeb and associated SQL database objects.

- Design and maintain Crystal Reports, SQL queries, data extracts and Power BI reporting solutions.

- Manage annual and semester-based system rollovers, student lifecycle transitions, timetable configurations and calendar events.

- Support integrations between Synergetic and other School software platforms and business systems.

- Coordinate system upgrades, testing and enhancements in partnership with the IT Technical Services Team.

- Provide expert advice, training and ongoing support to staff using Synergetic and related systems.

- Prepare data and reports to support operational, strategic, census, government and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Synergetic, SQL, Crystal Reports, MS Query and Power BI, along with excellent organisational, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills. Discretion, confidentiality and the ability to manage competing priorities will be essential
