Junior Data Engineer

We're looking for an enthusiastic Junior Data Engineer who is passionate about data pipelines and excited by high-performance engineering challenges.

🎯 The role

You will join a core engineering team responsible for making complex data available to real-time bidding platforms and machine learning models. You will help build robust data pipelines, deliver high-quality features, and solve complex engineering challenges while developing your skills through knowledge sharing and collaboration.

🎯 Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement data features for machine learning models

- Implement complex data ingestion services and other short-cycle engineering tasks

- Write clean, efficient, and testable code

- Test your work locally and in a staging environment

- Monitor deployments and help maintain the stability, reliability, and performance of production systems

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical and architectural decisions

- Collaborate with the team in an agile environment, including planning and progress reporting

- Take ownership of the features you build and help operate them in production

🛠️ Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

- 1–2 years of experience in software engineering or data engineering

- Knowledge of SQL

- Knowledge of Python or Java

- Strong interest in big data, machine learning, and data engineering

- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills

➕ Nice to have

- Knowledge of Scala

- Experience with key-value stores and in-memory databases, such as Redis or Memcached

- Familiarity with cloud environments, particularly AWS

- Experience with Airflow workflows

- Experience working with big data

- Experience with Spark
