At BETA Technologies, we apply our intellectual curiosity, passion for aviation, and commitment to sustainability toward a shared mission of revolutionizing electric aviation. Regardless of the position one holds, each team member brings their talent and desire to positively impact the environment and lives of others in a refreshing, vibrant, and inclusive culture.

BETA is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically minded Inventory Material Analyst to support inventory health, material availability, and warehouse-capacity planning across our warehouse and manufacturing locations. In this role, you will use data analysis, system expertise, and process-improvement practices to establish inventory parameters, reduce excess and obsolete material, manage shelf-life exposure, and improve storage utilization in support of electric aircraft production. You will partner with Procurement, Warehouse Operations, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to ensure inventory decisions are data-driven, documented, and aligned with operational and compliance requirements.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

- Establish, maintain, and validate safety-stock levels for production and operational materials using demand, lead time, usage variability, supplier performance, and material criticality.

- Analyze age-sensitive and shelf-life-controlled materials, including expiration-date visibility, escalation, rotation, and disposition planning.

- Identify, monitor, and resolve obsolete, excess, slow-moving, and non-moving inventory; strengthen BETA’s material-review and disposition process.

- Analyze inventory data to identify opportunities to improve material availability, reduce shortages, and limit unnecessary inventory overage.

- Evaluate current and future warehouse-space utilization, including storage capacity, material dimensions, handling requirements, and projected inventory growth.

- Forecast space requirements based on item dimensions, inventory levels, demand forecasts, inbound material plans, and production requirements.

- Partner with Warehouse Operations to optimize storage layouts, slotting strategies, material flow, and capacity utilization.

- Develop standard reporting and dashboards for inventory health, safety stock, excess and obsolete inventory, shelf-life exposure, material availability, and warehouse capacity.

- Establish and maintain inventory-planning metrics, including on-hand inventory analysis, excess-and-obsolete value, aging inventory, expiration risk, and storage-capacity utilization.

- Conduct root-cause analysis on inventory shortages, excess, aging, expiration exposure, and capacity constraints; recommend and implement systemic improvements.

- Maintain inventory-planning data and parameters in BETA’s ERP and related systems to support accurate analysis and decision-making.

- Collaborate with Supply Chain Operations to communicate inventory risks, prioritize actions, and support material disposition decisions.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Operations, a related field; OR 2+ years of experience in inventory planning, materials management, warehouse operations, or supply chain analystics.

- Demonstrated experience with ERP and systems.

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement processes from the ground up.

- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams and prioritize competing work in a fast-paced environment.

- Working knowledge of inventory demand planning principles, including safety stock, demand and lead-time variability, inventory aging, shelf-life management, and excess-and-obsolete material.

- Strong critical-thinking and analytical skills, including the ability to translate data into clear operational recommendations.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong attention to detail with demonstrated accuracy in data-heavy environments.

- Ability to handle setbacks, prioritize competing needs, and identify practical solutions.

Above and Beyond Qualifications:

- Previous work in a manufacturing environment with experience in aerospace, automotive, or a startup preferred.

- Working knowledge of FAA and/or SOX compliance requirements.

- Familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies.

- Process improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma).
