We are constantly growing and are excited to share that we are looking for a Compliance Officer to join our team!

We're looking for a Compliance Officer to work with the Head of Compliance in the day-to-day operation of the local compliance framework. The role will be responsible for assigned compliance activities and may hold an FSRA Approved Person position, subject to the applicable FSRA approval requirements.

The Compliance Officer is responsible for assigned interactions and coordination with regulators, law enforcement and other competent bodies and authorities, and advises staff and senior management on relevant regulatory and internal compliance policy matters.

What will you be doing?

As the Compliance Officer, you will work with the Head of Compliance and be responsible for:

- Executing assigned elements of the local compliance strategy and framework, and contributing to the development of local compliance team members as directed by the Head of Compliance

- Carrying out assigned elements of the compliance monitoring plan, including monitoring, surveillance and subsequent reviews.

- Providing advice to staff and senior management on regulatory, policy and procedural issues and their application

- Handling assigned client enquiries, requests for information and client complaints

- Handing Phase 3 Complaints and regulatory referrals

- Conducting compliance impact assessments, risk assessments and gap assessments as appropriate

- Putting in place, updating and maintaining compliance registers

- Identifying, logging and escalating compliance issues, policy and regulatory breaches, and assisting with their resolution

- Reviewing and updating compliance policies and procedures, in line with regulatory changes

- Preparing and coordinating the timely completion and filing of assigned regulatory and AML reports with the regulator

- Preparing compliance management information for the Head of Compliance, SEO, Board and Group Senior Management, and providing input on the regulatory implications of future business strategies

- Staying up to date with regulatory developments both locally and internationally, with particular focus on FSRA policy updates, published guidance from the various UAE regulators and international best practice with potential impact on the business, and escalating relevant developments

- Review, assess and approve new or amended products or services as part of Product governance

- Review, assess and approve marketing, promotional or other iniatives for relevant entity.

- Partnering with the company's MLRO on the review and implementation of AML/CTF policies and the implementation of financial crime compliance monitoring program, and assurance tasks

- Remaining familiar with all AML processes and systems to ensure seamless coverage when cover is required

- Developing and maintaining a positive and constructive relationship with the regulators and responding promptly to any request for information made by the FSRA or any other competent authorities of the UAE

- Complete assigned tasks in relation to the company’s virtual asset regulatory and company obligations

- Lead and/or support the Company with regulatory related projects, or be part of Company’s project team to provide regulatory and compliance inputs in relation to new projects for the business

- Delivering and coordinating compliance training across the business

- Promoting a culture of compliance among all team members and business processes

- Using AI tools to automate, improve efficiency and make more effective compliance processes and tasks

Requirements- At least 5 years of relevant compliance experience in financial services, including substantial experience with ADGM/FSRA-regulated firms or another UAE/local financial services regulator; experience in a deputy or second-in-command compliance role is preferred

- Experience building and maintaining working relationships with regulators, with direct experience working with the FSRA and/or other ADGM or local UAE regulators required

- Able to advise the Board, senior management and Group colleagues on complex regulatory issues

- Experienced in successfully managing multiple projects and competing priorities at the same time

- Able to work to short timelines in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Eligible to hold, or obtain approval for, an FSRA Approved Person / Authorized Individual function, where required for the position

- Preference for virtual asset experience (at least 2 years)
