ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a collaborative legal team handling employment law, school law, and general civil litigation matters. You will independently manage cases from initiation through settlement or trial, with support from paralegals and experienced colleagues.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage civil litigation cases from intake through resolution, including settlement and trial.
- Draft and argue motions, conduct discovery, and take and defend depositions.
- Attend hearings, argue motions, and conduct bench and jury trials.
- Meet with clients to develop litigation strategies and execute settlement agreements.
- Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy in an in-person environment.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 6 years of civil litigation experience, including motion practice and discovery.
- Ability to independently manage a caseload with minimal supervision, from intake through trial.
- Strong legal writing and experience drafting and arguing motions through summary judgment.
- Experience taking and defending depositions.
- Trial experience as first or second chair is preferred, along with readiness to try cases.
- Background in employment law, school law, insurance defense, or general civil litigation.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active Washington State Bar membership, or ability to obtain membership.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Annual base salary is $150,000 to $200,000. Visa sponsorship is available.
LOCATION
On-site daily in Seattle, Washington.
