Human Resources / HRIS Coordinator

Reports to: Human Resource Manager
Work Location: Shawnee, Kansas
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Remote/Hybrid: This is a fully onsite position. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
Summary/Objective
The Human Resources / HRIS Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Human Resources Department through recruiting, onboarding, employee record administration, benefits support, and general HR coordination. This role serves as a resource for employees while ensuring HR processes and records are maintained accurately and confidentially.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with HRIS systems such as Paycom is preferred.
Essential Functions
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Post and maintain job advertisements.
- Coordinate interviews and communicate with candidates.
- Assist with background checks and employment verifications.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation.
- Ensure completion of required new hire documentation.
- Maintain applicants and recruiting records within the HRIS.
Employee Support
- Respond to routine employee questions regarding policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Provide administrative support for employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding and offboarding.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling employee information.
- Foster positive work environment, supporting the company Core Values.
HR Administration & Records
- Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files.
- Enter and update employee information in the HRIS.
- Manage processes and controls within HRIS.
- Process HR forms and employment-related documentation.
- Conduct periodic audits of employee records for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with document retention and recordkeeping requirements.
Benefits Administration
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment and changes.
- Coordinate benefit-related paperwork and documentation.
- Support open enrollment activities.
- Maintain benefit records within the HRIS.
Compliance & Reporting
- Assist with HR compliance documentation and recordkeeping.
- Support preparation of routine HR reports.
- Help ensure personnel records comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
General HR Support
- Provide administrative support to the HR Manager and HR team.
- Participate in HR projects and department initiatives.
- Attend training and professional development opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 0-2 years of HR, administrative, recruiting, or related experience.
- Experience with HRIS systems preferred; Paycom experience a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities
There are no supervisory responsibilities with this role.
Travel Expectations
This position may require occasional overnight travel to other Company branches, though such travel is expected to be infrequent. The ability to travel as needed is essential to support organizational needs.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines.
This is a fully onsite position requiring the employee to work in the office Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
The employee must be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The position may require the employee to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
