We combine proactive, 24/7 clinical care with technology that helps us reach patients earlier, identify risks sooner, and deliver personalized care throughout their journey. Our team includes clinicians, technologists, operators, and problem-solvers working together to make high-quality care more accessible for families nationwide.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Recruiter at Pomelo Care, you will serve as a key driver of top-of-funnel provider acquisition. You will focus on high-volume talent sourcing, pipeline acceleration, and candidate engagement for 1099 contractors across multiple states and disciplines. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact responsible for swiftly evaluating, vetting, and contracting high-caliber clinicians to keep pace with our rapidly scaling care delivery needs.
This position requires an organized self-starter who thrives in high-velocity environments and embraces a hands-on, "no task too small" mindset. Ideal candidates excel at running tight, responsive recruitment cycles, optimizing conversion across massive pipelines, and keeping 1099 providers motivated and engaged throughout the contracting process.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Serve as the dedicated point of contact for prospective candidates, developing a deep understanding of Pomelo Care’s care model and 1099 value proposition to pitch, vet, and close effectively.
- Drive high-volume pipeline velocity through proactive multi-channel outreach and follow-ups to maximize conversion rates, minimize candidate drop-off, and decrease time-to-contract.
- Execute aggressive outbound sourcing strategies across priority state markets using tools like Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox, and niche networks.
- Manage high-volume recruiting inboxes, schedules, and candidate pipelines, ensuring fast, transparent, and high-touch communication at scale.
- Track and analyze end-to-end funnel metrics to identify pipeline bottlenecks, elevate recruiter SLAs, and inform strategic decisions around contractor capacity and acquisition channels.
- Proactively refine and scale provider recruitment workflows, leveraging automation and ATS capabilities to improve operational rigor without sacrificing candidate experience.
WHO YOU ARE
- High-Volume Recruiting Background: 2+ years of full-cycle, high-volume recruiting experience
- Sourcing Expertise: Demonstrated experience recruiting for hard to fill roles, ideally 1099.
- Creative Sourcing Engine: Proven track record utilizing sourcing tools (Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox) along with creative, non-traditional strategies (association directories, network mining, cold outreach) to build deep candidate benches quickly.
- Operational Rigor & Organization: Exceptional pipeline hygiene with an ability to manage dozens of active candidates simultaneously across various states and pipeline stages without letting details drop.
- Effective Communicator: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to quickly establish trust with healthcare professionals and articulate the value of partnering with Pomelo.
- Startup Agility: Autonomous, resourceful, and adaptable in ambiguous, fast-moving environments; excited to solve problems independently and build scalable processes.
- Tech-Savvy: Fast learner with recruiting software, automated workflows, and modern applicant tracking systems (e.g., Ashby).

The expected base salary range offered for this role is $80,000–$90,000. This role is also eligible for equity, giving you an ownership stake in Pomelo’s mission. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, competencies, and certifications.
