Job SummaryWe are recruiting on behalf of a confidential educational institution in Qatar seeking an experienced Social Studies Teacher to deliver the American Curriculum across Grades 5–9, with the potential to teach high school elective subjects.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver Social Studies lessons aligned with the American Curriculum.
- Teach History, Geography, Civics and related Social Studies subjects.
- Potentially deliver high school electives depending on subject expertise.
- Prepare lesson plans, assessments and engaging classroom activities.
- Encourage critical thinking, research and student participation.
- Monitor academic progress and maintain effective classroom management.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Education, History, Geography, Social Studies or a related discipline.
- Recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, QTS or equivalent) preferred.
- Previous experience teaching Social Studies at middle school level.
- Experience teaching the American Curriculum strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of relevant subjects and teaching methodologies.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Ability to teach high school electives would be advantageous.
