With deep roots in Western Massachusetts and a growing presence throughout the state, we are currently seeking an HR Coordinator to support recruitment, onboarding, and human resources operations across the organization. This is a 32 hour/wk position.

What You Will Do:

- Coordinate all aspects of the pre-employment and onboarding process.

- Ensure new employees complete required documentation, credentials, and compliance requirements before their start date.

- Conduct reference checks and communicate findings to Talent Acquisition leadership.

- Support new employee orientation, welcome check-ins, I-9 documentation, and facility tours.

- Serve as a first point of contact for walk-in applicants and new employees.

- Schedule appointments for applicants and new hires who need onsite assistance completing paperwork.

- Communicate with applicants and new employees regarding interviews, orientation, hiring status, and onboarding requirements.

- Represent BHN at job fairs, career fairs, workforce development events, and community recruitment initiatives.

- Support recruitment strategies through partnerships with educational institutions, workforce agencies, and community organizations.

- Maintain accurate applicant tracking, recruitment, onboarding, and personnel records.

- Prepare, scan, copy, file, and distribute confidential employment and personnel documents.

- Monitor onboarding progress and follow up with new employees and supervisors regarding required training and documentation.

- Assist Talent Acquisition Specialists with interview scheduling, hiring manager calendars, and recruitment materials.

- Coordinate new hire credentials and IT equipment orders, escalating delays when necessary.

- Organize HR events, orientations, virtual meetings, room reservations, catering, and audiovisual logistics.

- Conduct phone screens and document applicant qualifications, experience, and education.

- Provide customer service and respond to inquiries from applicants, employees, supervisors, and the public.

- Assist with HR audits, accreditation reviews, compliance initiatives, research, and special projects.

- Provide backup coverage for other HR Coordinators and support additional departmental responsibilities.

Who You Are:

- High School Diploma or GED required.

- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field preferred.

- Prior experience in an HR support role required.

- Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.

- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and onboarding platforms.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate recordkeeping.

- Reliable transportation required for statewide recruitment events and organizational functions.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Flexibility to adjust priorities and work schedules based on department needs.
