ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY

SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director, the Office Support individual will provide administrative and operational support for The Current. This position will assist with housing assignments, resident accounts, deposits, and general office operations while providing direct support to the Assistant Director, Area Coordinator, and Accounts Specialist.

SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is only a small sampling of work variety):

- Provide administrative and operational support to the Assistant Director, Area Coordinator, and Accounts Specialist.

- Assist with housing assignments and occupancy management, including waitlists, room selection, roommate concerns, transfers, cancellations, and assignment changes.

- Assist with resident accounts, including reviewing balances, answering account questions, processing payments, and maintaining accurate account documentation.

- Assist with security deposits and financial backing requirements, including tracking, processing, documentation, and resident follow-up.

- Support move-in, move-out, renewal, and resident transition processes, including preparation of required documents and materials.

- Serve as backup for payments and other front-office financial transactions as needed.

- Assist with apartment inspections, unit readiness, cleaning schedules, and coordination of housing-related operational needs.

- Provide high-quality customer service to residents, parents/guardians, prospective residents, and campus partners by phone, email, and in person.

- Perform general office duties, including answering phones, preparing correspondence, filing, maintaining records, conducting property tours, and submitting maintenance requests.

- Prepare and submit student invoices and other financial or administrative documentation upon approval.

- Maintain accurate and confidential resident, housing, and financial records in accordance with departmental and Foundation procedures.

- Assist with resident communications, notices, follow-ups, and other correspondence related to housing, accounts, security deposits, and property operations.

- Assist with special projects, property events, and departmental initiatives, including move-in and other high-volume operational periods.

- Assist with the training, coordination, and supervision of student and part-time staff as assigned.

- Perform additional office, housing, account, and operational duties as assigned and maintain regular communication with the direct supervisor regarding work status and task completion.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, Associates Degree is preferred.

- 2-4 years related office experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Must possess the ability to work well with staff at all levels within a diverse, multi-cultural, collaborative environment.

- Experience with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Calendar).

- Experience at multi-tasking, meeting deadlines and ability to adjust tasks when priorities change.
