Premier League + Content Manager

The Premier League’s Digital team are looking for a Content Manager to lead the vision and operation for its new service, Premier League + (PL +). Working closely with the Head of Content and leads from Product, Marketing and Production, this role will be instrumental to the delivery of high-impact, audience-first content that drives engagement and growth with a key new pillar of the Premier League's digital proposition.

This is a fixed-term contract to help support the team with leading the content evolution of the Premier League's first direct to consumer proposition, PL +. The successful candidate will lead the greenlight commissioning process, devising a cross-genre framework harnessing multiple points of production to ensure every content decision is aligned to the overall vision for PL + within the Premier League.

The successful candidate will devise and execute a release strategy for content, making expert judgement calls and communicating decision-making to multiple stakeholders within the Premier League. They will also harness customer and market insight to ensure that every decision has the customer and customer journey at its heart.

This role will blend macro and micro priorities, with direct responsibility for the curation and direction of PL + alongside managing a team of contributors to ensure a best-in-class delivery and operation across the entire season.

All staff liaise closely with their line manager to manage their time appropriately and according to their work and team requirements. - Set the Editorial vision and strategy for Premier League +, harnessing multiple inputs and stakeholders to create the most compelling experience for fans.

- Define and lead a team of contributors responsible for the curation of Premier League + across the full breadth of the Premier League season, blending direct curation and management with defining and delegating key workflows to ensure a best in class, always-on delivery.

- Ensure all content used within Premier League + is of the best quality and compelling for the service, considering premium live and on demand as well as freemium supporting content.

- Identify future opportunities to develop and grow the content proposition on Premier League +, working in close alignment with PL Studios and with the wider digital team.

- Harness insight and audience data to maximise customer experience, frequency and retention across all the Premier League + apps and associated platforms.

- Work closely with content and product teams to help shape the ongoing build and design of the platform, including efficiencies and improvements with both CMS functionality and operative design and workflow.

- Work with digital marketing both in Singapore and the UK and Starhub’s broadcast team to maximise the promotion and visibility of Premier League +, always staying within the boundaries set by the Premier League’s Media department. Maintaining a key understanding of consumer attitudes and needs within the local market.

- Contribute to all internal communications and stakeholder management.

- Perform QA on all content to ensure the Premier League's exacting standards are upheld.

- Possess a good understanding of emerging industry trends and relevant benchmarks to help highlight future direction and development efforts.

- Experience developing and curating high-impact content and media channels.

- Strong creative eye, including an eye for imagery and an appreciation of brand and creative.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to schedule and prioritise multiple work streams effectively.

- Understanding of rights frameworks, copyright and their implications for creating multimedia content.

- A motivated, proactive and ambitious individual with exceptional communication skills.

- Collaborative and open-minded team player with the confidence to deal with senior internal and external figures.

- Keen sports fan with a solid knowledge of the Premier League’s structure and context in the industry.

- Ability to demonstrate creative vision and identify innovative solutions.

- Meticulous attention to detail.
