We are actively seeking a Supply Chain Development Manager to lead strategic supply-base diversification and supplier development programs across multiple product lines. This role is accountable for translating business priorities into executable sourcing and supply chain roadmaps that strengthen continuity of supply, improve cost competitiveness, reduce supplier and operational risk, and enable long-term business growth.
The Supply Chain Development Manager will own a portfolio of high-visibility, cross-functional programs from strategy development and business-case alignment through qualification, industrialization, safe launch, and stabilization. The successful candidate will establish program governance, align resources and priorities, drive timely decisions, and provide clear visibility to senior leadership on progress, risks, financial impact, and required actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute supply-base diversification and supplier development strategies that translate product-line priorities, regional supply chain objectives, and long-term business needs into sequenced initiatives with defined outcomes.
- Own a portfolio of complex supply chain programs, balancing priorities, resources, dependencies, and risk to achieve annual objectives related to material productivity, supply continuity, risk reduction, quality, and implementation timing.
- Partner with regional category managers and business stakeholders to identify and prioritize opportunities, validate assumptions and business cases, secure alignment in investment decisions, and track delivery of committed financial benefits.
- Build integrated program roadmaps that define scope, milestones, decision gates, deliverables, dependencies, resource requirements, and critical-path activities.
- Lead cross-functional teams across supply chain, category management, engineering, quality, manufacturing, operations, purchasing, testing, logistics, and other functions, aligning functional workstreams to shared program outcomes and resolving conflicting priorities.
- Establish program governance, decision rights, ownership, escalation paths, and review cadences; hold stakeholders accountable for commitments and drive timely resolution of issues affecting cost, quality, supply, or schedule.
- Lead supplier transitions, qualifications, and launch-readiness activities using defined readiness criteria and decision gates to confirm that technical, quality, capacity, packaging, logistics, documentation, and operational requirements are complete before implementation.
- Proactively identify and assess program and supplier risks, quantify potential business impact, evaluate response scenarios, and lead structured mitigation or recovery plans through closure.
- Monitor portfolio and program performance against schedule, budget, savings, quality, and readiness commitments; identify material variances, determine root causes, and drive corrective actions or escalation when performance is off track.
- Ensure programs have appropriate resources, stakeholder engagement, and executive support to achieve objectives on time and with controlled risk.
- Prepare concise executive-level updates, dashboards, and decision materials that communicate program status, business impact, key risks, tradeoffs, and recommended actions.
- Contribute to regional supplier-risk mitigation and resiliency planning by analyzing internal and external data, identifying exposure, and converting findings into actionable plans.
- Promote disciplined program-management practices, continuous improvement, and lessons learned across the Supply Chain Development organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Program Management, or a related field with 5-8 years of relevant experience; or a master's degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional programs in supply chain, supplier development, sourcing, manufacturing, engineering, operations, or a related environment, with accountability for decisions, risk management, implementation, and measurable business outcomes.
- Ability to apply program-management methods, including integrated planning, governance, milestone and dependency management, risk management, resource alignment, and executive reporting, to complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Demonstrated knowledge of procurement and supplier-management processes, including supplier selection, qualification, transition, performance management, launch readiness, and the cross-functional controls required for implementation.
- Ability to analyze complex data, develop clear recommendations, and connect operational actions to financial and business outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to create alignment without direct authority, resolve cross-functional conflict, influence decisions at multiple levels, and sustain accountability across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong leadership, communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly to senior leaders and working teams.
- High degree of initiative, ownership, sound judgment, and comfort operating independently in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through, with a consistent focus on execution and measurable results.
