Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Service Technician to support IT hardware supply chain, warehouse, and service operations.
The role combines logistics coordination, IT hardware handling, inventory management, SAP-based material processes, shipping, and technical service support. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely availability, delivery, shipment, and disposal of IT hardware, spare components, consumables, and service materials.
The position also supports IT and telecommunications infrastructure migration projects and related project activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and clarify orders and delivery requests with regard to:
- Delivery schedules
- Economic feasibility
- Available inventory
- Material requirements
- Manage warehouse operations and inventory for:
- IT hardware
- Spare components
- Consumables
- Service materials
- Replacement equipment
- Coordinate the delivery, shipment, and disposal of technical materials.
- Handle service and replacement stock, including the inspection, regeneration, and preparation of hardware for further use.
- Check freight documents, delivery notes, and other shipping documentation.
- Perform goods receiving inspections and document incoming materials.
- Organize temporary storage and internal transportation of materials.
- Support projects and sub-projects related to the migration of IT and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate and traceable inventory records.
- Coordinate material availability with relevant operational and project teams.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and movement of IT hardware and technical components.
Required Qualifications
- Completed vocational training in warehouse logistics, logistics, or a comparable field.
- Class B driver's license.
- Valid qualification/license for operating industrial trucks / forklifts.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Good understanding of warehouse, logistics, and material management processes.
- Strong practical experience working with IT hardware.
Professional Experience
The successful candidate should demonstrate:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a logistics environment, including:
- Demand planning
- Procurement-related activities
- Order creation and processing in business systems
- At least 3 years of experience handling IT hardware.
- At least 3 years of experience with SAP MM or a comparable enterprise resource planning system.
- Experience working with ticketing systems.
- Experience with warehouse operations, inventory management, goods receiving, shipping, and material supply.
- Experience supporting IT or telecommunications infrastructure projects, particularly migration-related activities, is highly relevant.
- Practical experience with hardware regeneration, replacement components, or service stock is advantageous.
