As a Junior SW Development Engineer you will design, implement, and maintain the Linux kernel, device drivers, and the full software stack for embedded controllers with a strong focus on advanced security features. Your work will directly contribute to the security and resilience of global communications infrastructure.
We offer:
- Opportunity to shape the secure Linux foundation of cutting-edge telecom infrastructure.
- Access to advanced development tools, AI-assisted analysis platforms, and research resources.
- Competitive salary, performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.
- Continuous learning programs, mentorship, and support for professional certifications.
- An inclusive, innovative culture that values curiosity, diversity, and work-life balance.
- Linux kernel & driver development – create and maintain kernel code and custom device drivers.
- Security-first platform design – embed security mechanisms throughout the stack, including:
- Secure Boot and trusted hardware root of trust.
- Disk and file-system encryption (e.g., dm-crypt, LUKS) for data-at-rest protection.
- FIPS-validated cryptographic modules to satisfy regulatory and industry compliance.
- Certificate-based authentication for secure boot, OTA updates, and inter-component communication.
- Build and integrate the bootloader, root-filesystem, and runtime environment for embedded controllers.
- Contribute to threat modeling, code reviews, static/dynamic analysis, and security testing (fuzzing, vulnerability scanning).
- Collaborate with hardware engineers and application SW teams in a multi-national development project.
You Have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in Linux kernel development and embedded systems (ARM).
- Curiosity about device drivers (networking, storage, GPIO, I²C, SPI) and a desire to write/debug them.
- Proven programming skills in C/C++ and scripting (Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with version-control (Git) and CI/CD tools.
- Interest in modern security fundamentals, especially: Secure Boot, Disk and file-system encryption techniques, FIPS-compliant cryptography.
- Certificate-based authentication mechanisms.
- Good problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience with embedded operating systems for telecom/networking equipment.
- Experience with security feature implementations.
