The function is designed to support event teams by providing the resources they need without requiring those teams to return to Amberg and manage the whole process themselves.
Better inventory visibility should support fewer unnecessary freelance activities and reduced logistical movements by improving planning, reuse and central control.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

- Ensure physical storage, picking, staging and return processes support accurate system records and event readiness.
- Maintain appropriate stock/asset counting and reconciliation routines.
4. Logistics Interface

- Support onward-event routing where it avoids unnecessary returns to Amberg and remains properly controlled.
- Ensure movement completion is reflected in asset location records.
5. Event Team Support
- Provide event teams with clear information on what has been allocated, what is outstanding and what must be returned or transferred onward.
- Resolve shortages and discrepancies centrally where possible rather than requiring event teams to manage warehouse/inventory activity themselves.
6. Condition, Damage & Loss Control
- Maintain processes for return checks, damage/loss reporting and repair/replace decisions with relevant owners.
- Provide visibility of recurring asset loss, damage or poor handling and support corrective action.
7. Inventory Systems & Data
- Support introduction or improvement of an asset/inventory system, preferably aligned with wider business tools where leadership decides this is appropriate.
- Define minimum data standards, user responsibilities and update routines so the system remains reliable.
8. Cost & Utilisation Improvement
- Identify opportunities to reuse existing assets, reduce unnecessary purchases/rentals and avoid duplicate logistics movements.
- Provide information that supports better estimating, procurement and capital/replacement decisions.
9. Continuous Improvement
- Review recurring shortages, urgent purchases, missing assets, failed handovers and unnecessary movements.
- Develop standard event-kit, return and reconciliation processes where useful.
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:
- Experience in inventory, asset management, warehouse control, event logistics or a comparable operational environment.
- Strong data discipline and ability to maintain accurate location/status information across many concurrent events.
- Experience leading warehouse/storage activity or coordinating physical asset processes.
- Motorsport/live-event experience is advantageous.
- Inventory and asset control.
- Allocation planning and reconciliation.
- Warehouse process understanding.
