We are seeking a recognized expert and advisor in Solutions Engineering to advance a cloud-first strategy for Canadian operations, primarily focused on Microsoft Azure, with some AWS. The role will provide solution-level direction for the design, implementation, automation, documentation, and support of secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud and technology solutions that align with enterprise architecture, cyber security, compliance, governance, and business requirements.
This role reports to the Enterprise Architect and will work closely with business, engineering, data, security, storage and architecture teams; the role will provide expert direction in translating functional requirements into reusable technology solutions, solution patterns, high-level designs (HLDs), low-level designs (LLDs), design decisions, implementation roadmaps, and production-ready services, primarily across Microsoft Azure, with some AWS.
The successful candidate will work with internal business units and IT to design and build scalable solutions, primarily across Microsoft Azure, with some AWS, using IaC and development pipelines. You will work closely with engineering teams, cyber security and department heads to deliver new business and engineering capabilities while advancing automation, resilience, security, cost and operational efficiency.
Solutions will need to meet all compliance and governance requirements before being handed over to operational support teams to run and maintain.
