ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a small engineering team developing advanced sensing systems for public safety. You will own hands-on mixed-signal board bring-up, debugging, and integration, working across hardware, FPGA, firmware, AI, and mechanical engineering.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead board-level bring-up, power sequencing validation, and subsystem integration across multiple board designs.
- Investigate signal integrity, power, and RF performance issues, identify root causes, and drive design iterations.
- Coordinate schematic updates and layout reviews with an external design partner, from fabrication through characterization and validation.
- Collaborate with FPGA, firmware, and systems engineers to validate subsystem and system-level integration.
- Develop traceability and test procedures to support increased production volume.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Three to seven years of experience in mixed-signal hardware bring-up, debug, and board-level integration.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience owning board design end to end, including schematic capture and layout in Altium, controlled-impedance routing, and power protection circuits.
- Hands-on experience with complex PCBAs, power sequencing, signal integrity, and mixed-signal design, including ADCs, DACs, DC/DC converters, and RF interfaces.
- Ability to work independently, identify problems, and contribute across disciplines.
- Background in telecom, radar, or complex sensing systems is beneficial, as is FPGA bring-up experience with tools such as PetaLinux or AMD Kria SOM.
- Familiarity with Python, high-speed digital design, power distribution, and lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers is useful.
