Mission Brief
You will support the Chief of Staff on driving the CEO's public positioning — from speaking opportunities to thought leadership on national and international stage.
Your Role in Our Space Mission:
- Proactively identifying opportunities to position the CEO on topics relevant to Isar Aerospace, the space ecosystem, technology, entrepreneurship and industry
- Identifying relevant conferences, panels, podcasts, interviews and other external platforms
- Developing and executing a dedicated communications and positioning strategy for the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT)
- Owning and driving major public appearance events for the CEO & ELT and aligning with the Events and Corporate Comms Team (esp. Munich Security Conference)
- Managing inbound media requests involving the CEO and proactively creating high-quality media opportunities
- Preparing the CEO for interviews, press engagements, panels, conferences and other public appearances
- Developing briefing documents, talking points, Q&As, speeches, opinion pieces and other executive communications
- Coordinating speaking engagements and ensuring that key messages are tailored to the respective audience
- Working closely with Corporate Communications to ensure alignment between CEO positioning and the company's broader communications strategy
- Coordinating with Public Affairs and other internal stakeholders where communications intersect with political, institutional or regulatory topics
Qualification Checklist
You are an experienced communications professional who understands that executive communications require a different approach from traditional corporate PR. You know how to build a compelling public profile without making it feel manufactured. You have excellent editorial judgment, understand the media landscape and can translate complex technical and strategic topics into clear and compelling narratives.
Ideally, you bring:
- Several years of experience in PR, media relations, executive communications, journalism or strategic communications
- A strong network and understanding of the German and ideally international media landscape
- Excellent writing and editing skills and the ability to adapt tone and messaging across formats and audiences
- A strong instinct for news, narratives and positioning opportunities
- The ability to quickly understand complex technical, business and policy topics and translate them into accessible messages
- Confidence advising and challenging senior stakeholders when necessary
- Excellent judgment in sensitive communications situations
- The ability to operate quickly and calmly in a high-profile, fast-moving environment
- A proactive mindset — you create communications opportunities rather than simply responding to incoming requests
- A high degree of discretion and trustworthiness
- Excellent written and spoken English and German
