The Data Solutions Engineer I is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines, integrations, and data platforms that support enterprise reporting, analytics, and business operations. Works with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources to create reliable, scalable, and secure data solutions. Completes assigned project phases with limited supervision while continuing to build technical expertise and understanding of enterprise data architecture. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, accurate, and available for decision-making.

As a Data Solutions Engineer I, you will:

- Design, develop, test, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes that support enterprise data initiatives.

- Integrate data from multiple internal and external systems into centralized data platforms and warehouses.

- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, pipelines, and integrations to ensure reliability, performance, and data quality.

- Assist in developing and maintaining scalable data models and architectures that support reporting, analytics, and operational processes.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and technology teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical data solutions.

- Implement and maintain data validation, reconciliation, and quality control processes.

- Identify opportunities to improve data processes through automation, optimization, and standardization.

- Support cloud-based and on-premises data environments, ensuring secure and efficient movement of data across systems.

- Document data flows, processes, and technical solutions to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.

- Participate in data governance efforts, including data lineage, metadata management, and compliance with organizational policies.

- Work across many different enterprise systems / processes while maintaining confidential information standards for company.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.

- 1-3 years of experience in data engineering, software development, data analytics, or information technology preferred.

- Experience with SQL, data integration, cloud platforms, and data warehousing concepts preferred.

- Experience within the banking or financial services industry is a plus.

- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and protect sensitive information.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills.

- Understanding of data engineering principles including ETL/ELT development, data modeling, and data integration.

- Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.

- Experience with or ability to learn cloud data platforms, data warehouses, and data integration tools.

- Experience with Python, data transformation frameworks, and automation tools preferred.

- Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI and Tableau.

- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and information security best practices.

- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and escalate when appropriate.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
