ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an early-stage industrial AI team building agentic vision-language systems for smart glasses used in field work. You will help develop and ship the multimodal AI core, from production model pipelines to real-time experiences on wearable hardware.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and ship agentic vision-language pipelines that support multi-step visual reasoning and tool use in industrial workflows.
- Develop evaluation frameworks, capture failure modes, and create data and fine-tuning loops to improve model quality.
- Optimize model orchestration and edge inference for variable connectivity, latency, and hardware constraints.
- Create real-time voice and video interfaces, including conversational and proactive assistance modes.
- Fine-tune open-weight multimodal models for enterprise deployments, including supervised fine-tuning, preference optimization, and quantization.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 0 to 3 years of experience shipping production vision-language or multimodal AI systems, with hands-on Python and PyTorch experience.
- Experience owning model and orchestration layers, building multi-step tool-using agents, and designing evaluation harnesses and data improvement loops.
- Applied computer vision and vision-language model experience, including fine-tuning and deployment; this role is focused on applied systems rather than pretraining from scratch.
- Familiarity with tools such as vLLM, Triton, Ray Serve, ONNX, TensorRT, Hugging Face Transformers, and model quantization.
- Startup or high-ownership engineering experience, and a degree in computer science, machine learning, or engineering, or equivalent production experience.
- Interest or experience in wearable AI, augmented reality, industrial systems, autonomous driving, or edge and on-premise inference.
