Director of Facilities and Safety Officer

Main Function:
- Lead facilities operations across Thompson Health, including maintenance, plant operations, biomedical engineering, real estate, groundskeeping, environmental services, safety, and construction management.
- Ensure a safe, reliable environment that supports exceptional patient care and service.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Environment of Care standards.
- Develop and implement strategic and operational plans aligned with Thompson Health’s mission, vision, and values.

Qualifications:
- Valid New York State driver’s license to operate facility vehicles.
- New York State Department of Labor Contractor/Supervisor Asbestos Certificate, or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
- Strong technical expertise, leadership, communication, and coaching skills, with the ability to work independently, analyze complex situations, and exercise sound judgment.
- Adaptability, initiative, and a commitment to continuous learning, teamwork, and excellence.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience in engineering required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Current Certified Hospital Facility Manager (CHFM) certification through the American Hospital Association.
Pay Range: $110,000 - $150,000/salary
Starting Pay: Based on experience
