About the role
Digital businesses on ablefy earn through several revenue streams — online courses, memberships, webinars, community, services, and more. Each is a product in its own right; together they let a business run everything it sells in one place. All of them run on one shared commerce core, so every product can sell, bill, and pay out from day one. What sits on top — how businesses set up and make money with these products, and why their customers buy, engage, and stay — is where you come in.
You'll own several of these revenue streams end to end.
This is a judgment-led role. Strategy, prioritisation, and the numbers are the core of it. What makes it different from a classic PM job is the ownership: you own the commercial impact of your revenue streams, not the roadmap that led to it. Decisions are backed by data you pulled and customer understanding you built yourself, and you keep iterating after launch rather than moving to the next thing. The team is AI-first — modern stack, short cycles, and a process built to ship fast. AI also changes what gets built — what's worth improving, what needs rebuilding, and when the honest answer is to pivot. Every decision here starts with what's newly possible, not with what could be a little better.
Responsibilities
Own the strategy
- Set the direction for your revenue streams — who we serve, how we're different, what we build in which order — and own the product KPIs and the no's behind them
- Own them end to end — from a business's onboarding and first setup, to the moment their customer buys, to the reason that customer stays
- Bring leadership into the strategy early, work across neighbouring revenue streams so the suite stays one product, and keep everyone current on what's changing and why
Drive commercial success
- Know first-hand how digital businesses make money with these products — from talking to them and their customers, not from assumptions: how they price, package, and combine them, like a webinar that sells a course or a community that keeps members paying — and build for what grows their revenue
- Optimise for conversion, customer lifetime value, and engagement that retains — customer onboarding, activation, notifications, mobile. Every decision is judged by whether it moves those numbers
- Lead go-to-market for what you ship — positioning, packaging, launch — and own the impact after release, not the feature: adoption, the metric it was meant to move, and what you do when it doesn't
Build for the AI era
- Rethink your products from what's newly possible: what a course or membership is worth once making content stops being hard, which work AI agents should take off our customers' hands, and what shouldn't exist anymore
- Build API-first — usable by our customers and by AI agents — and hold the quality bar for our AI features: what good looks like, how it's measured, what the product does when it gets things wrong
- Run discovery through prototypes, live tests, and betas — the result decides, not the loudest view
Requirements
Your core strength: product judgment
- 5+ years in product management on customer-facing products (B2C, B2B SaaS, or platform), including one you owned end to end — from an early version to a measurable result
- Depth in at least one of these worlds — learning and content, memberships and subscriptions, community and engagement, or live and video — and genuine curiosity about the others
- Commercial understanding of your customers' business: you know how they make money with your product, and you've used that to decide what to build — pricing, packaging, or how products combine into one offer
- Shaped a product strategy from market, competitor, and customer evidence, and won backing for it
- Led a cross-functional team through several planning cycles: goals set, delivery predictable, launches landing as adoption
Your working foundation
- Shipped a feature whose output you couldn't fully predict — an LLM feature, a recommender, ranking, matching — and owned its quality bar
- At home in the data and in front of customers: the metric defined before the build, funnel and cohort numbers pulled yourself, interviews and tests run yourself
- Use AI in your own work every day — research, analysis, specs, and prototypes — not as an experiment, but as how you work
- Worked with designers as partners, not as a requirements queue
Nice to have
- SaaS, creator economy, marketplace, community, or EdTech background
- Experience with API-first or platform products
- Prototyping in your own hands — you can get to a working concept yourself with AI tooling rather than waiting for engineering
- PLG experience: self-serve onboarding, self-serve conversion, in-product upsell
- German language skills — a good share of our customer conversations happen in German
Who Thrives Here
You'd rather own an outcome than deliver a roadmap, and you'd rather ask what's newly possible than what could be faster. You care whether it works: you know the difference between a feature that exists and one people come back to — and you stay with it until the number moves.
How we'll talk: we'll ask you to bring one product decision you would make differently today — not because you'd execute it faster, but because the problem has changed.
