The People Operations Systems Analyst leads the administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of HRIS platforms and People & Culture workflows. Reporting to the Director, HRIS & Total Rewards, this role acts as the subject matter expert for system functionality, driving enhancements, implementations, and process automation that improve data accuracy, efficiency, and the overall employee experience. The position partners closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to streamline processes and ensure People & Culture systems support organizational goals.
Salary: $85,000 - $110,000
Responsibilities & Duties:
HRIS & Systems Management
- Administer, maintain, and optimize the HRIS to ensure data accuracy, system efficiency, and a seamless user experience
- Act as the subject matter expert for HRIS functionality, configuration, reporting, and troubleshooting
- Lead and support the implementation and harmonization of a new global system, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and consistency across all regions and business units
- Manage HRIS upgrades, enhancements, and end-to-end implementation projects, from requirements gathering through go-live
- Configure and maintain system workflows, approval chains, and integrations between the HRIS and other business platforms
- Develop and maintain HR dashboards, reports, and analytics to support data-driven decision-making
- Ensure data integrity through regular audits, testing, and data governance practices
Process Optimization & Workflow Enhancement
- Identify, design, and implement opportunities to streamline and automate People & Culture processes and workflows
- Map current-state processes, pinpoint pain points, and design future-state workflows that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Lead process improvement initiatives across HR systems and Total Rewards operations, from discovery through implementation
- Document standard operating procedures and maintain process documentation to support consistency and knowledge transfer
- Partner with HR, Finance, and business leaders to support workforce planning, reporting needs, and cross-functional process alignment
- Train and support end-users on HRIS tools, new workflows, and system enhancements
- Monitor system performance and workflow effectiveness, and recommend continuous improvements
Project & Change Management
- Support project planning, testing, and change management activities for system implementations and upgrades
- Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot system issues and deliver enhancements
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across HR systems and operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5-8+ years of experience in HRIS administration, systems analysis, or HR operations/process improvement
- Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, UKG, Dayforce, SAP SuccessFactors) and HR data management
- Proven experience with HRIS implementation, system optimization, or process improvement projects
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and HR reporting/BI tools
- Experience with process mapping, workflow design, and documentation (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data management
- Ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights and recommendations
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and project-management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and translate business needs into system requirements
- Experience with system integrations and an understanding of data flows between HR platforms is an asset
- HRIS or systems-related certifications (e.g., Workday, UKG, PMP, Lean Six Sigma) considered an asset
