Alum Relations Manager

Summary: Together with the Alum Relations Associate, the Alum Relations Manager cultivates, stewards, solicits, and builds community and relationships with alums to help achieve revenue goals through alum giving.

Alum Giving
- Identifies, cultivates, and stewards a portfolio of major alum donors and prospects to solicit for campaigns and scholarship giving programs.
- Serves as the lead staff liaison to the alum community; focuses on classes of 1980 to present.
- Monitors program performance by conducting regular audits and high-level analysis, and providing an annual performance report on alum giving year-over-year.
- Works with the Executive Director of Advancement to determine strategy to target and increase alum giving.
Alum Community Engagement
- Builds and enhances the alum program to promote engagement through volunteering, attending events, giving, or serving as an ND speaker
- Determines strategy to identify and engage different alum audiences and develops programs for engagement
- Develops and executes a data-driven communications plan to target alum engagement and giving, including but not limited to newsletters, emails, appeals, outreach, and social media.
- Strategizes how to grow the alum network – including, but not limited to, reunions, career programs, events, and volunteer opportunities – to create a pipeline of ambassadors to support Notre Dame’s initiatives.
- Partners with the events team to plan and execute alum events
- Works with the Executive Director of Advancement to drive program efforts up to larger alum engagement strategy

- Attends school events and remains aware of school accomplishments and challenges
Business Affairs:
- Becomes familiar with and adheres to all policies stated in the Employment Handbook and Faculty Guide
Development Affairs:
- Supports the efforts of the Development Department in their work of the advancement of the school
Board Relations:
- Supports the efforts of the Board of Directors in their work for the advancement of the school
Liaisons and Other Responsibilities:
- Creates and maintains positive working relationships with all internal and external contacts
- Performs related duties as assigned
