As a non-profit community hospital, Fitzgibbon Hospital is vital to the health and well-being of the communities it serves in the Marshall, MO and surrounding area. We are looking for a self-driven compassionate Dietary Manager to join our Nutritional Services team.
Description: Dietary Manager
- Actively leads through role modeling, mentoring, directing and coaching individuals to assume responsibility and accountability for assigned work.
- Adapts behavior that enhances versatility and flexibility within the service areas.
- Staff knows expectations as demonstrated by worksheets, staffing reports, survey results, customer satisfaction results.
- Completes acceptable work within time frame.
- Staff demonstrates understanding and knowledge of work expectations.
- Staff completes work using approved protocols, procedures and products.
- Consistently implements personnel management standards, including recruitment, retention, disciplinary action.
- Ensures quality-focused and cost-effective achievement of customer and service expectations.
- Accepts responsibility for collaboration with key managers and designated staff related to problems.
- Monitors customer satisfaction results; participates in supervision rounds; participates in review and planning of new protocols, equipment and products.
- Develops QM program based on identified problems and opportunities demonstrating resolution or improvement.
- Participates in interdisciplinary QITs representing NS.
- Adopts the principles of continuous quality improvement; responsible for updating self on information related to scope of expertise and/or system functions and processes; formulates personal short-term goals and objectives and participates in CQI/PI teams.
- Monitors/audits areas of noncompliance, develops and implements actions for resolution.
- Recognizes customer dissatisfaction, manages concerns quickly or contacts the appropriate individual for follow up.
- Communicates effectively in a way that people can understand and accept.
- Implements the process of management.
- Has the ability to use knowledge, methods, techniques and equipment necessary for the performance of specific tasks acquired from experience, education and training.
- Ability to understand the complexities of the overall organization and where one's own operation fits
- Demonstrates professionalism.
- Other duties as assigned.
Shift:
- Full-time (80 hours every two weeks)
About our Nutritional Services Department
The Nutritional Services department at Fitzgibbon Hospital provides quality meals to patients, residents, employees and visitors. Café Fitz, located west of the main entrance to the hospital, just past the gift shop provides Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (weekdays only) in addition to hot coffee, and a large variety of snacks and refreshments. Also serving residents and their guests in The Living Center, our Nutritional Services Department offers a friendly touch to the entire patient experience. The Nutritional Services staff promptly delivers meals to patient areas, providing individualized options to meet each patient’s needs.
