About the Position

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead one or more commercial concrete construction projects from planning through completion. This individual will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, collaborative leader who can build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and internal stakeholders. This position requires strong project administration and cost-control skills, sound construction knowledge, and the ability to solve problems effectively in a fast-paced project environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and guide project teams through the successful completion of commercial concrete projects.

- Manage project administration, cost control, scheduling, quality assurance, and overall project performance.

- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with plans and specifications.

- Build productive, long-term relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, design teams, and field operations.

- Communicate proactively with project stakeholders to identify and resolve issues before they impact project performance.

- Apply strong problem-solving skills to address unexpected project challenges.

- Interpret construction plans, contracts, specifications, and project requirements.

- Leverage technology and project management systems to improve communication, efficiency, and the client experience.

- Collaborate closely with field operations to develop plans, communicate expectations, and maintain project momentum.

- Provide leadership that motivates teams and reinforces company values.

- Maintain a strong focus on quality and ensure work is performed in accordance with project requirements.

- Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture across project teams and trade partners.

- Identify potential safety hazards and ensure subcontractors and project teams are aligned with the company's safety expectations.

- Maintain professionalism, integrity, and sound business practices throughout all phases of the project.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

- 8–10+ years of commercial construction experience in a Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Office Engineer, or similar role.

- At least 4 years of recent experience managing projects valued at $2 million or greater.

- Strong technical knowledge of commercial building construction means, methods, systems, and trades.

- Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction plans, contracts, and specifications.

- Demonstrated project management experience including cost control, scheduling, quality assurance, and project administration.

- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and build productive working relationships.

- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing objectives.

- Proven ability to remain professional, flexible, and solutions-oriented under project constraints and deadlines.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

- Strong ethical standards and commitment to professional conduct.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Project.

- Experience with Procore or the ability to quickly learn construction technology platforms.

- Knowledge of On-Screen Take-Off and Quick Bid

estimating systems is preferred.
