We’re hiring a Customer Service Representative (Hospice) – a detail-oriented and empathetic professional who manages patient intake processes, builds positive relationships with referral sources, and ensures smooth coordination of admissions. This role is essential to supporting patients, families, and our hospice team with exceptional service and organizational excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage all aspects of the patient intake process, including establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources
- Respond promptly to customer requests and concerns
- Verify insurance coverage and manage authorization processes
- Schedule appropriate staff to meet with patients/families to discuss hospice services
- Overcome initial objections to hospice services with compassion and professionalism
- Coordinate hospital discharges and admissions
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain admission tracking logs
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience dealing with the public via telephone or in person, preferably in customer service or inside sales
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook required
- Ability to type at least 50 words per minute and manage records/files
- Basic computer skills (Forms, Labels, Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak clear English
- Empathetic communication style with patients, families, and associates
- Reliable transportation to consistently meet attendance and punctuality standards (driver’s license not required unless specified)

Schedule: Full Time, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm, Saturday and Sunday, 3:30pm - 12:00am
Shift times could change based on the needs of the business. This position covers after hours for Silverado Hospice and Supportive Care.
