About the role

Based within the firm's Information Technology Applications Services team, the Business Analyst plays a key role in supporting the firm's digital transformation strategy. Working closely with stakeholders across legal and business services teams, you will identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance user experiences, and deliver technology solutions that drive operational efficiency and support the firm's strategic objectives.

This is a highly collaborative role where you will act as the bridge between business and technology teams. You will partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges, analyse current and future state processes, and translate requirements into practical and effective solutions. You will contribute to a range of initiatives, from process improvement and system enhancements through to the delivery of innovative digital solutions that modernise the way we work and interact with clients.

Responsibilities include:

- Partner with stakeholders across the firm to understand business needs, challenges and opportunities for improvement.

- Facilitate workshops, interviews and discovery sessions to gather and document business requirements.

- Analyse and document business processes, workflows, requirements, user stories, use cases and functional specifications.

- Translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable solutions for technical delivery teams.

- Support the design of future-state processes and contribute to solution design activities.

- Work collaboratively with project managers, developers, vendors and subject matter experts throughout the project lifecycle.

- Facilitate process mapping and business process re-engineering activities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

- Identify and recommend opportunities to automate, simplify or optimise business processes through technology.

- Contribute to testing activities, including test planning, user acceptance testing and defect management.

- Support change management and user adoption activities to ensure successful implementation of new solutions.

About you

Ideally you will have:

- Minimum 2-4 years of business analysis experience

- Demonstrated ability mentoring or managing junior BA’s (preferred)

- Relevant Tertiary and/or certifications as follows

- IIBA qualifications Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA), Certificate Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) or equivalent

- Agile Business Analyst Certification: Certified Scrum Business Analyst (CSBA), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) or similar
