Finance Transformation Specialist (UK & Ire)

InPost UK · London, United Kingdom · hybrid

Want to be part of a UK hub, in a global business that is scaling rapidly, evolving fast and radically changing the decades-old delivery universe? If so, read on, as we’re looking for a Finance Transformation Specialist to join our Finance team!

Our mission? To switch up the status quo and become the UK’s leading out-of-home business. With a fast-growing network of thousands of smart lockers, hundreds of leading retail partners and the launch of our transformative Send service, we’re bringing freedom to anyone with a parcel.

At InPost UK, we’re building an unparalleled group of talent that’s committed to help us power our mission to reshape the way parcels move, and redefine eCommerce logistics. Our team is packed full of top-notch experts in e-commerce, technology, scale-up growth, sustainability, logistics and supply chain. We’re a passionate bunch with high ambition – we collaborate, innovate, support each other, and leave egos at the door.

- About the role:

This role sits at the intersection of finance, technology and change. Reporting into the Finance Transformation Manager, the Finance Transformation Specialist will support the delivery of process improvement, automation and systems change across UK Finance, working with Technology, Data, HR and Operations to help simplify how we work and adopt new technology, including AI.

What you’ll be doing:

- Delivery and tracking: Deliver defined work packages within transformation workstreams. Maintain plans, trackers, the roadmap and backlog, and report progress, risks and issues. Track benefits against baseline (time saved, error reduction, close timeline).

- Process improvement and automation: Map current-state processes, find where time is lost, and help design simpler, faster processes. Support the rollout and piloting of RPA, AI tools and workflow automation, and build simple solutions where appropriate.

- Programme support: Contribute to cross-functional programmes and act as the day-to-day link between Finance and Technology, Data, HR and Operations.

- Finance systems: Spot underused systems and manual workarounds, and support the evaluation and adoption of new planning, reporting and analytics tools.

- Change and communications: Support testing, communications, training and adoption tracking for process and system changes.

- Finance partnering: Work with Controlling, Financial Accounting, Reporting, Transactional Finance and Operations & Newstrade Finance to understand pain points and shape practical fixes.

What we need from you:

We’re looking for people who are ready for a fast paced environment, get their kicks out of problem solving and can balance getting today's stuff done, whilst building for the future. We’re looking for people with drive and natural curiosity – who want to do things differently. And do them brilliantly.

- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent process improvement qualification), or a track record of delivering process redesign that you can evidence.

- Has led or materially contributed to at least one finance process mapping and redesign project, with measurable outcomes (cycle time, error rate, cost or effort saved).

- Working knowledge of finance processes such as P2P, O2C, record-to-report or reporting, gained through qualification or hands-on experience in a finance or shared services role.

- Hands-on experience with at least one ERP (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar) and advanced Excel skills (e.g. lookups, pivots, Power Query).

- Proven ability to manage your own workload and deliver to deadline, with an example of seeing a project through to completion.

- Experience working with Technology, HR and Operations stakeholders to deliver shared outcomes.

- Practical experience with RPA, AI-assisted analytics or conversational AI, or a clear example of self-directed learning in this area.

We’d be particularly excited to hear from you if:

- Part or fully qualified accountant (AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

- Exposure to planning tools (Anaplan, Adaptive) or reporting platforms (Power BI, Tableau).

- Experience supporting change through communications, training or user acceptance testing.

The InPost process:

We pride ourselves on our candidate experience. We want to make this as straightforward as possible, for you and for us! We will try our best to get back to you within a few days to let you know if we’d like to take you to the first stage. This normally involves a 20 minute chat with our Talent Team. If we both feel the connection, you’ll then go through another one or two stages, depending on the level of the role.

At InPost, we love uniqueness. Our strength is our people.

We strive to create an open, equal, inclusive environment in which everyone has the opportunity to flourish and be themselves.
