Position Summary

Dhaka Technologies Limited Company (DTLC) is hiring a Sr. Attorney, Contracts on behalf of our client, an aerospace and defense company, for its Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) business. Reporting to the sector's Senior Director, Counsel, the attorney works as a legal specialist and business partner who provides strategic, proactive and practical legal counsel to sector management and staff on general and specialized legal matters, with an emphasis on aircraft purchasing agreements and aviation contracts and subcontracts. The position is based at one of the client's Texas locations (Greenville, Plano, Rockwall or Waco) on a 1st shift, 9/80 schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- Advise and counsel sector management and staff as a trusted business partner on legal matters tied to sector business objectives.

- Provide legal guidance on risk mitigation strategies, contract interpretation and provisions, dispute resolution and other legal issues.

- Negotiate, research, draft, revise and analyze agreements, contracts, memoranda, legal correspondence and other legal documents.

- Lead the legal side of aircraft purchasing agreements and complex maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) agreements.

- Model a personal commitment to ethics and compliance in a high-ethical-standard environment.

RequirementsRequired Qualifications

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and an active state license to practice law; an active Texas license is required.

- Bachelor's degree.

- 13 years of experience managing contracts, aircraft purchasing agreements and complex maintenance, repair and overhaul agreements.

- Hands-on experience with aircraft purchase agreements and with aviation contracts and subcontracts.

- Experience with DoD and/or US Government contracts.

- Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.

- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

- Must be authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

- International experience.
