ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an applied AI research team focused on creating high-quality training data that helps advanced AI systems handle complex, real-world work. In this role, you will bring legal expertise to client projects and internal initiatives, helping teams deliver rigorous work at pace.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage client relationships and legal projects from planning through delivery.
- Lead teams of subject-matter experts across areas such as finance, software engineering, and science.
- Collaborate with internal teams on AI research and dataset development.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives and support operational projects as an early team member.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 3 years of substantive legal experience in a law firm, in-house role, government or regulatory body, or legal technology startup.
- A JD or equivalent qualification, with hands-on experience drafting, negotiating, litigating, or providing legal advice.
- Strong legal reasoning and research skills, with a clear understanding of what makes analysis rigorous.
- Excellent communication and client management skills, and the ability to own projects end to end.
- Experience in a demanding, fast-paced environment such as legal consulting, a startup, or professional services.
- An undergraduate degree from a US, Canadian, or European university, or equivalent standout experience.
- Comfort working an intensive schedule, including five weekdays, some Sunday availability, and occasional 60-plus-hour weeks when needed.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
