Product Marketing Manager, Growth

Arca · New York · onsite

USD 150,000 to 200,000 per year

“If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.”

- Henry Ford… Or possibly cruise ship designer John McNeece musing about Ford’s customers for a 1999 article published in “The Cruise Industry News Quarterly.”

Either way, the idea is entirely valid. Prospects and customers can have a really great understanding of their pain points (we’re going too slow) without being able to imagine a perfect solution (this horse should go much faster).

Arca is hiring our first Product Marketing Manager to help solve these critical problems: deeply understanding our clients, communicating our solutions, and building a brand that resonates.

THE ROLE

You’ll shape how people understand Arca and why they choose us. This is an individual contributor role on our Growth Marketing team for someone who can turn deep customer understanding into clear segmentation, sharp positioning, and messaging that works everywhere a prospect or client meets us: an ad, a nurture email, a seminar, an advisor’s proposal, or a friend’s recommendation.

Most of the role is core product marketing: segmentation, personas, positioning, competitive context, advisor enablement, and launches. You’ll also work on customer marketing: helping our clients’ experiences become the stories, testimonials, reviews, and referrals that bring the next client to us. You’ll report to our Head of Growth and work closely with advisors, our product and engineering teams, design, and compliance.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

DEFINE WHO WE SERVE AND WHY THEY CHOOSE US

- Develop and maintain Arca’s segmentation and persona model, covering life stage, financial situation, and the moments that bring someone to an advisor, such as retirement, a liquidity event, or the sale of a business.

- Build positioning and messaging by segment, grounded in pain points, buying cycles, and competitive context.

- Make the value of advice tangible. Help prospects see what a fee-only fiduciary does across investments, taxes, estate, and planning, beyond portfolio returns.

- Maintain a thorough view of the competitive landscape, including direct and non-traditional competitors.

EQUIP OUR ADVISORS

- Build, review, and supplement the materials advisors use with prospects: pitch narratives, proposal frameworks, one-pagers, objection handling, and competitive guides.

- Spend time with advisors, listen to client conversations, and bring what you learn back into our positioning, marketing, and product plans.

TURN CLIENT EXPERIENCES INTO GROWTH

- Build and run Arca’s client story, testimonial, and review programs, in close partnership with advisors and compliance.

- Steer the system that makes referrals easy for clients and advisors. Advisors maintain great relationships with our clients; we want to make referrals simple and natural.

- Provide input on client appreciation and client events.

SHAPE THE CLIENT JOURNEY

- Partner with our product and engineering teams on the messaging across the lead and client lifecycle: first inquiry, nurture, booking, onboarding, and beyond.

- Help design and test what moves people to their next step, from the content of a nurture sequence to how we follow up after a first meeting.

- Measure messaging and programs by their effect on qualified prospects and new clients, not opens and clicks.

- Bring the voice of the client into product decisions.

LAUNCH WHAT WE BUILD

- Lead go-to-market for client-facing product launches.

- Keep messaging consistent across the website, paid media, email, direct mail, and advisor materials.

- Work closely with compliance on positioning, testimonials, and referrals, starting at the brief stage.

ABOUT ARCA

Arca is a wealth management firm built from the ground up with AI. Most people get financial advice that's reactive: an annual check-in, a plan that's a document instead of a living thing, a relationship where you're one of three hundred clients your advisor is trying to remember. We think that's backwards. The kind of service that used to require a team of specialists behind you, the kind that makes you feel like the only person in the room, should be available to far more than the ultra-wealthy.

So we're building it. We're not SaaS — we are the wealth management business, rebuilding it from the inside with AI. Our platform is an Iron Man suit for advisors: it takes over the low-leverage work so they can focus on what actually requires a human, showing up with empathy, context, and judgment. Underneath, it keeps a living understanding of each client. It remembers the thing you mentioned once, six months ago. It notices when your life changes — a new job, a new kid, a market shift — and adjusts before you think to ask. You won't see the technology. You'll just notice your advisor seems to know you better than any financial professional ever has.

That's the product we're growing: client by client, on the strength of the experience itself. We started by acquiring firms managing over $1B in client assets, which gave us real advisors, real clients, and real financial outcomes to build against from day one. But acquisition was the starting line. The bet is that an advisor backed by this platform delivers something good enough that clients come to us on their own.

It's a $20T market, and we think it's ready to be rebuilt.

THE TEAM

We're small on purpose and engineering heavy: about 80% of the team is technical. We're based in NYC and hail from high growth startups like Stripe, Ramp, Rippling, Plaid, DoorDash, Glean, and Mercury.

Most of the team is fully in-office. We prefer candidates based in New York City, but we’ll consider remote candidates in the US if the fit is right. Remote team members, including this role’s direct manager, spend about one week per month on-site.

EXAMPLE PROBLEMS YOU’D WORK ON

These aren’t hypothetical. We’re working on versions of all of them now.

- Persona model. Our current personas mix life-stage segments with persona types, and teams use them inconsistently. Decide which dimension leads, build one model the whole company uses, and make it practical for advisors, growth, and product.

- Who first. Our current clients tell us who Arca serves today. We also need to decide which audiences to prioritize next. Doing everything for everyone means doing nothing well, so this is a real choice with real trade-offs.

- Value beyond returns. Many people judge an advisor by investment performance alone. Making the value of tax, estate, and planning coordination concrete, and doing it within the rules that govern our marketing, is one of our most challenging messaging problems.

- The long consideration. Many prospects aren’t ready after a first conversation. Some take months, and some take years. Deciding what we say in that time, when we say it, and how it adapts to each person is how a lead eventually becomes a client.

- Proof people trust. Prospects check reviews and ask people they know before they book. We need to build testimonial, review, and referral programs that clients are glad to join, advisors are comfortable with, and compliance can approve.

- One firm, many first impressions. People meet Arca through a search ad, a mailer, a seminar, an advisor, or a friend. Making all of those feel like the same firm, while each speaks to its audience, takes a clear message and a lot of follow-through.

WHAT YOU BRING

MINDSET

- You’d rather spend an afternoon listening to client calls than in a messaging workshop.

- You can tell the difference between a message people agree with and one they remember.

- You see compliance constraints as part of the craft, not a hurdle.

- You judge your work by the pipeline it drives and the new clients
