QA Test Engineer

At Kapres Technology we are looking for a QA Test Engineer to work for a multinational client in the insurance sector.

Main Functions & Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the QA team to understand testing requirements and acceptance criteria.

- Create and maintain test cases and test data based on provided specifications.

- Identify defects and verify bug fixes.

- Support automation efforts by developing and maintaining simple test scripts under supervision.

- Log and track defects using issue-tracking tools, providing clear and concise defect reports.

- Participate in team meetings, including daily stand-ups and sprint planning, to stay aligned with project goals.

- Conduct basic regression testing to ensure recent changes do not introduce new issues.

- Perform exploratory testing to uncover hidden defects.

- Support the documentation of testing processes, results, and metrics.

- Establish testing procedures and organisational standards.

- Collaborate with developers and other QA team members to improve testing processes and share knowledge.

- Work with AI/GenAI testing tools and methodologies under the guidance of senior staff.

- Contribute to team efforts in continuous improvement and learning.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Expertise in software testing concepts and methodologies.

- Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, SoapUI) is a plus.

- Expertise in programme in Python, Java, or JavaScript.

- Expertise in database (SQL and NoSQL).

- Relevant QA or IT qualifications or ongoing studies

- Expertise: At least 1-2 years in software testing or related roles, or internship experience.

The position is remote within Spain.
