Location: Buffalo, NY
Compensation: $85,000 - $105,000, based on experience.
What We Are Looking For
The Fuels Logistics Manager leads NOCO’s Fuels Logistics function, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective coordination of drivers, vehicles, and delivery resources across supported operations. This role provides direct leadership to the Fuels Logistics Specialists and oversees the consistent execution of routing, dispatching, resource allocation, and service delivery.
As a key operations leader, the Fuels Logistics Manager uses data, operational expertise, and sound judgment to establish priorities, resolve complex logistics challenges, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, customer service, and overall business performance. The position works closely with Fuels Operations leadership and other internal partners to ensure logistics strategies align with customer needs and broader business objectives.
What You Will Do
- Manage, coach, and develop Fuels Logistics Specialists, providing clear expectations, ongoing feedback, training, and support.
- Oversee day-to-day logistics activities, including staffing, workload distribution, operational coverage, routing, and dispatching.
- Develop daily and long-range routing strategies to maximize delivery capacity, improve fleet utilization, control overtime and costs, and meet customer commitments.
- Analyze delivery trends, operational data, driver utilization, and team performance to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and service.
- Provide direction in prioritizing competing operational needs, customer demands, and resource constraints.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex operational issues involving weather, equipment availability, service interruptions, emergencies, and changing business conditions.
- Direct real-time service adjustments, including rerouting drivers, adjusting loads, and reallocating resources as needed.
- Partner with Operations leadership to support the effective deployment of drivers, vehicles, and delivery resources across locations.
- Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, and other internal partners to align priorities, service expectations, and issue resolution.
- Oversee route creation, monitoring, and completion while ensuring accurate documentation, communication, and accountability.
- Monitor service failures, customer concerns, and driver performance trends, partnering with appropriate management to address recurring issues.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and develop processes and procedures that improve service reliability, workflow, route optimization, and resource utilization.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional initiatives focused on operational efficiency, safety, customer satisfaction, and service delivery.
- Monitor bulk product inventories and sales trends to support daily and weekly inventory and delivery strategies.
- Remain accessible for after-hours operational decision-making and escalation needs, as required.

What You Will Need
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, operations coordination, dispatch, or a related field.
- Previous supervisory, team leadership, or people management experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop employees and manage team performance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use operational data to make informed decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and customer communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and make timely decisions regarding complex operational matters.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with operational leaders and cross-functional business partners.
- Ability to remain accessible for after-hours decision-making and escalation needs, as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicable routing, dispatching, and logistics systems.
